Cyql is a startup founded by two friends with years of experience in IT. Jan Kooistra and Wouter Slotegraaf have been active in the mobile industry since 2011 after starting as internet pioneers from the very beginning around 2000.

Both men are fanatic sportsmen and passionated cyclists. Cyql wants to make cycling more fun and safer. Cyql also creates involvement and club loyalty and optimal communication between existing and new cycling friends or within a club.

With this in mind, the first ideas for a cycling app were put on paper at the end of 2019. Cyql took off in 2021 and has since grown into a platform where many thousands of cyclists cycle more, together and more safely every day.
