Clubs that regularly organize rides know how important it is to make clear agreements in advance. For example, about safety, behavior during the ride, or liability. That’s why we’re introducing a new feature in Cyql to support this: the waiver.
What is a waiver?
A waiver is a short statement in which a participant confirms that they are joining a ride at their own risk and agree to certain conditions. Think of it as a liability disclaimer or a set of behavioral rules for group rides. How it works in Cyql
- club setting: as a club admin, you can define a default waiver text in the club settings. This could be a general statement you want to apply to all rides.
- set per ride: when creating or editing a ride, you can choose whether the waiver should be active.
- explicit agreement: once a waiver is enabled, participants will see the waiver text when signing up. They can only register for the ride after checking the “agree” box.
