Cyql x KNWU: Partnership for All KNWU Cycling Clubs in the Netherlands
We are proud to announce our partnership with the Royal Dutch Cycling Union (KNWU). Starting December 1, 2025, all KNWU cycling clubs can use Cyql as their platform for club management and ride planning. This partnership makes it easier for cycling clubs across the Netherlands to organize rides, communicate with members, and strengthen the connection between club and riders.
About KNWU: The Netherlands Cycling Federation
The KNWU was founded in 1928. It is the national governing body for cycling in the Netherlands. With more than 30,000 members and around 230 affiliated clubs, the KNWU is active in 16 cycling disciplines. These include road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking, gravel, BMX, and cyclocross.
The federation supports race organizers and clubs at all levels. From professionals to beginners, from competitive racers to recreational cyclists. This partnership with Cyql supports clubs in all these disciplines.
Proven Success in the Netherlands: The NTFU Partnership
Before partnering with KNWU, we worked successfully with the Dutch Touring Cycling Union (NTFU) for several years. This partnership has proven itself. More than 50% of NTFU clubs are now active on the Cyql platform.
This experience in the Dutch market was crucial. We learned what Dutch cycling clubs need. From small niche clubs with a few dozen members to large established cycling clubs with 250+ members in cities. We understand the local context. And we know how to best support cycling communities.
The success with NTFU led to interest from KNWU clubs. Clubs were looking for better solutions for their organization. And they found them in Cyql.
